About The Shakespeare Inn

The Shakespeare Inn in Coalport is a traditional pub that is over 200 years old and is full of traditional features and ambiance. They are a CAMRA registered pub and offer a wide selection of ales as well as delicious food being served throughout the day.

There is free parking next to the pub and is ideal for visitors to park up, go for a walk to explore the local area and return to the Shakespeare for drinks and a nice meal. There is a rear garden where you can drink and dine especially in the summer months and it offers a children’s play area.

The staff at The Shakespeare Inn are super nice. They make you feel like you belong there, whether you’re stopping by for a drink or a good meal. Speaking of meals, they serve classic pub food – think tasty fish and chips or hearty pies. The servings are big, and the flavours are just right.

As one of our closest neighbours, we at Coalport Station, love the Shakespeare Inn and in particular the cosy feel of the pub with its traditional features and warming fireplaces during the colder months. In the summer the gardens and surrounding woodland make for a peaceful place to eat and drink.
