About The Half Moon Inn

The Half Moon is located in the riverside village of Jackfield in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and boasts a history that dates back to the 17th century where it was once a coaching inn. The Iron Bridge itself is the ideal place to start exploring the beautiful Shropshire landscape and its fascinating history. Ideally located in the Ironbridge Gorge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Within walking distance for many of the museums and local places of interest, it is perfect for parking up, going for a walk and then returning for delicious food and drink.

Located right on the river severn The Half Moon has some of the best views in Ironbridge which you can enjoy from either the large riverside gardens or from the conservatory style dining room. The friendly staff and cosy atmosphere are just two of the amazing features to make this one of the nicest places to eat in the area and has a wide variety of dishes on the menu.

What Coalport Station Thinks

The Half Moon is a great place to go for food or stop in for a drink. We would recommend a visit here just for the location alone with a garden that overlooks the river and offers a quiet, relaxed location with beautiful surroundings. If you’re thinking of eating at the Half Moon we would recommend you book in advance as it is very popular particularly in the summer months.
