How to Find Us
By Road:
For vehicles without roof racks or roof boxes (Coalport bridge has a width, weight and height 6'x6' restriction)
From the M6 northbound at junction 10a onto M54. From the M6 southbound at junction 12 follow A5 to Telford then follow signs to M54. Then take junction 4 off the M54.
The Ironbridge Gorge is on the River Severn, 5 miles (8km) south of Telford town centre in Shropshire. Follow brown and white signs to Ironbridge Gorge and then the brown and white signs for Blists Hill Victorian Town. Blists Hill Victorian Town is the first site that you will find on your left, continue on this road down into the gorge. At the T junction BEAR TO THE LEFT drive along parallel to the river for approximately 1 mile, you will pass the Coalport China Museum and YHA on your right.
You will finally arrive at a full T junction, turn right (signposted Broseley) and cross the River Severn via the narrow Coalport Bridge onto the south side. You will notice the Woodbridge Inn entrance is on your left, carry on past for only a few yards, and then take the first turning on the left (it has a sharp turning – and is marked private road). Coalport Station is just here, the carriages are down this private road a short way, you will see them on your right, the carriage car park is the through the white double gates on the right. ALWAYS CLOSE THEM AFTER USE.
For high or wide vehicles, delivery vans, cars with roof boxes or with bicycles.
From Birmingham follow M6. Leave M6 at junction 10a onto M54. Take junction 4 off the M54.

You will pass Blists Hill on your left, continue down the hill, the road forksat the bottom of the gorge turn right (The Lloyds) along the river (20 mile hour speed limit) with caution as it is narrow, bumpy and winding. At the T junction turn left over the modern looking bridge and follow the main (winding, hairpin bend) road up the hill to Broseley.
Turn left just after the petrol station into the Coalport Road, follow the road down the gorge and round a hairpin bend approx 600 yards further along go over a small railway bridge look out for the Narrow Road Sign, turn right after this onto a private road. Coalport Station is just here, the carriages are down this private road a short way, you will see them on your right, the carriage car park is the through the next double gates on the right. ALWAYS CLOSE THEM AFTER USE.
By Air
The nearest main airports are Birmingham International (BHX), then Manchester (MAN), then those around London: Stanstead (STN), Heathrow (LHR) or Gatwick (LGW). The low-cost airlines also come to Coventry (CVT), Liverpool (LPL), Nottingham (EMA - East Midlands), Stanstead (STN) and Luton (LTN). From any airport take a road or train route to Telford.
By Rail
Take a train to "Telford Central". From here take a taxi to Coalport, and ask the driver to take you to "The Woodbridge Inn". Coalport Station is almost next door.
By Bus
There is a park and ride in Ironbridge: The Gorge Connect is a shuttle service that connects the majority of the Museums on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from Easter until October. It is free for Annual Passport Ticket holders. Ironbridge Park & Ride is a regular service running Easter - October. Running every 12 minutes the buses connect the conveniently located Jiggers Bank car park (Sat Nav - TF4 3QE) with Coalbrookdale Museums, central Ironbridge and Museum of The Gorge. The service operates Weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays and daily during School Summer Holidays.
