What car parking is available ?
There are 7 parking spaces within the enclosed grounds exclusive
to the carriages.
May we have visitors on the site ?
Yes, by prior arrangement. Visitors may not stay overnight.
Can I get mobile phone reception ?
Yes - here's our experience so far...
Orange - good
Vodafone - fair
O2 - fair
Can I get a secure wireless network?
Yes but the signal strength does vary depending on where
you are on the site.
Accessibility Statement
This is a small country railway station in a rural setting and as
such may be unsuitable for persons with a severe walking disability.
There is a gravel car park. To gain access to the carriages you
need to walk down a gravel path which has a slight slope and onto
the platform.
Is it easy to step up from the platform ?
Yes. Stairs with hand rails on both sides are provided, but no ramp.
Unfortunately the carriage doors are original and are unsuitable
for wheelchair access.

Is linen provided ?
Yes, you will find all your requirements are met.
Are the grounds suitable for children ?
Supervised children are safe to enjoy the grounds, which are away
from traffic.
Do the facilities cater for babies ?
Yes. A cot and high chair are available. We can usually supply additional
items on request.
Is babysitting available ?
Please request this at the time of booking - we will help you arrange
a local, qualified, registered sitter for your holiday dates.
Can I bring a pet ?
Sorry, no pets allowed. There are several cat and dog kennels in
the vicinity.
May we bring fireworks ?
Unfortunately fireworks may not be used in this area of
woodlands. Instead please take advantage of the firework season
by attending one of several fabulous firework events within walking
and driving distance.
Is there a welcome pack?
Yes, this will be dependent on the length of your stay.
For a week we provide milk, butter, preserve, bread, coffee, tea
bags, sugar and a bowl of fresh fruit.
For a shorter stay we provide milk, a cake or biscuits or a pastry,
coffee, tea bags, sugar and a bowl of fresh fruit.
We do try and ensure that everything is either Organic or Fair traded
as far as possible.
Can I order supermarket direct delivery?
Yes, from Waitrose, Sainsburys and that awful Tesco (it appears
they want to take over the world of retail). See www.tescopoly.org
